SUSTAINABLE REPORT
(23/06/2025 - 23/06/2026)
On 23 June 2026, Viet Cone Travel proudly marks one year since becoming a Travelife Partner, committing to implement more than 100 sustainability criteria across our business operations.
Over the past year, sustainability has gradually become part of our operation. Every step, no matter how small, contributes to our long-term commitment to responsible tourism.
Here are some of the milestones achieved during our first year of this journey.
1. Collaborations
Becoming a CAPTOUR DMCs Club Member
In 2026, Viet Cone Travel became a member of the CAPTOUR DMCs Club, a network of Vietnamese destination management companies sharing the common values of: Sustainability – Connection – Leadership
The club promotes collaboration among members to improve service quality, encourage responsible tourism practices and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's tourism industry.

2. Exchange of experiences
Dao Thuc Community Tourism Workshop
On 28 November 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nga, Director of Viet Cone Travel, shared practical experiences in developing sustainable tour products and discussed suitable tourism development directions for Dao Thuc village.

3. Internal Management
Cooking and Having Lunch at the Office
Our team regularly cooks and has lunch together at the office instead of ordering takeaway meals. This simple habit helps reduce single-use packaging while fostering a stronger sense of teamwork.
Waste Separation and Recycling
Waste is carefully separated and cleaned to maximise its recycling potential, helping reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Throughout 2025–2026, Viet Cone Travel developed several sustainable tour products in authentic and unspoiled places in Duong Lam, Ninh Binh, Ha Giang and Yen Bai.
Questi nuovi prodotti turistici sostenibili sono stati presentati ai nostri clienti e partner internazionali tramite e-mail, attraverso la piattaforma Evaneos e durante il TTG Travel Experience 2025 di Rimini, Italia.

5. Training
Internal Sustainability Training
Viet Cone Travel organised regular internal training sessions to help employees understand Travelife commitments and integrate sustainability into their daily work.

Tour Guide Training
Viet Cone Travel organised a training programme for eight tour guide interns from Hanoi University. The programme covered destination interpretation, guiding and problem-solving skills, responsible tourism principles, and sustainable behaviours to help participants deliver more meaningful and responsible travel experiences.

TourismLab Vietnam – Ha Giang
Viet Cone Travel participated in the TourismLab Vietnam program, funded by the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), coordinated by Impact-ON (Canada), with CSIP as the technical partner.
As part of the program, Viet Cone Travel trained and mentored local ethnic communities in Xa Phin village to develop community-based homestays and revive traditional crafts as sustainable tourism products. The company also worked closely with the community in Tha village to build tourism experiences based on local cultural stories and traditional craftsmanship, strengthening local capacity to manage and promote authentic community-based tourism.

6. Customer Communication
Pre-trip Information for Travellers
Before each tour, Viet Cone Travel provides travellers with pre-trip information on responsible travel practices, encouraging them to respect local culture, reduce waste, conserve natural resources and support local communities throughout their journey.
Viet Cone Travel will continue improving its sustainability performance in line with the Travelife standards while promoting responsible tourism practices to our customers, partners and the wider tourism industry.
We believe that every small action contributes to a more sustainable future for tourism.
7. Planting trees
7. Planting trees
Viet Cone Travel planted 6,000 cinnamon trees in partnership with Education for Ha Giang, a social enterprise in Ha Giang.
This initiative aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for local households through cinnamon cultivation while increasing forest cover and contributing to ecosystem restoration. It reflects our commitment to generating long-term environmental and social benefits in the destinations where we operate.
